Branch & Thorn’s DIY Buckets
Our DIY Buckets are an amazing way to source flowers for your event. We handpick the freshest and most vibrant blooms straight from our fields. Each bucket is carefully curated with a selection of focal flowers, supporting blooms, and lush foliage, all at the peak of freshness.
What’s included?
Our buckets include 60-80 stems and feature a carefully curated and balanced mix of focal flowers, supporting blooms, and foliage, providing you with everything you need to create stunning bouquets and/or arrangements.
Our DIY Buckets are “Farmer’s Choice.” We harvest specifically for your event and include an assortment of the freshest blooms that look great together. We can’t accommodate requests for specific varieties or colors, but we can assure you that you will receive the freshest most beautiful flowers.
How much does it cost?
DIY Flower Buckets are $135 each ($125 for the flowers plus $10 for the bucket). We are all about reducing single use plastic, so we will happily refund the $10 deposit if you bring the bucket back to us after your event.
When and where are they available?
We offer DIY Buckets from mid-July through September, subject to availability. Our calendar fills up quickly, so don’t wait to contact us! All DIY Buckets are pick-up only at our farm in Windsor, Vermont.
How do I order and pay for my DIY Bucket(s)?
The first step is to submit a request via the form below with the following details. We will get back to you to let you know if we can accommodate your request.

After we have accepted your order, we will send you a payable invoice to confirm your order and get on our calendar. The invoice must be paid the week of the event.

Is DIY Bucket a good fit for my event?
DIY can be a great option for lots of people, regardless of design experience or artistic/creative talent. The most important things are that you have time, a plan, and the materials you need to carry out your plan. Don’t forget, we all get by with a little help from our friends and some extra help can really go a long way.
What kinds of flowers might I receive in my buckets?
This is totally dependent on what time of year your event is and what is thriving in the fields. We cannot guarantee any varieties. Flowers we typically grow include zinnias, sunflowers, and cosmos, supporting flowers like dara, scabiosa, gomphrena, and celosia and foliage like basil, bee balm, and anise hyssop.
How many buckets do I need?
This is highly dependent on what you’re making and your aesthetic, but here are some rough numbers:
Bridal bouquet: 75 stems
Table centerpieces (2.5” mason jar): 15-25 stems
Bud vases: 3-5 stems
